Mapping Exercise and Best Practice Report

🔎
WP2 provides the evidence base for the whole EU-CARE project. Its purpose is to build a comprehensive understanding of how academic resilience and, more specifically, cooperative academic resilience are being developed, supported, and institutionalised across Ukrainian, European, and wider international higher education systems. The work looks at existing initiatives, policies, support mechanisms, and partnership models that help universities respond to disruption and sustain teaching, learning, cooperation, and institutional continuity in times of crisis. In doing so, WP2 is designed to avoid reinventing existing approaches and instead identify what already works, where the main gaps remain, and which practices could be adapted and transferred more widely.
💡
WP2 will produce three main results: a Comprehensive Mapping Report on Cooperative Academic Resilience, a Foundational Survey of EU and Ukrainian higher education institutions, and a Best Practices for Cooperative Academic Resilience Report. The Mapping Report will also include work on developing a methodology for measuring academic resilience, levels of cooperation, and changes in resilience over time. Together, these outputs will create a practical reference point for universities, policymakers, and project partners. They will also feed directly into the design of the project’s later training activities, implementation tools, peer-learning formats, and policy recommendations, ensuring that the rest of EU-CARE is grounded in real evidence and actual institutional needs.
